i recently won a sidekick off of ebay. i'm already on tmobile right now, so what can i expect as soon as i put that sim card into my sidekick?

well if u dont got the sidekick plan on your account then u can only expect to use the phone and if u got the plan nothin really to expect other then the internet,aim or emails and if u got the sidekick 2 then the camera

Getting the SIM in the Sidekick is non-trival, you need to disassemble it to get it in there. Perpahs someone else can explain how to pop the SIM in it.

the sim is pretty easy to pop in...on the top and bottom you will see the rubber bumpers that border both edges of the device..these can be replaced in different colors...if you look at the top bumper next to the left trigger button you can peel the rubber up...once you lift it p youll see a slot for the sim card to go in..slide it in and put the little tab over it to keep it down then just snap the rubber bumper back in place....this is how its done on a SKII i hve never sen it on a sk so it could be completely different if thats the one you got

oops i meant a sidekick 2. do i need to sign up for the sidekick plan before i put my sim card in or when i register for it will it sign up for hte plan itself?

Not only are you going to have to sign up for it, but it could take up to 72 hours for it to be activated. They'll tell you 24 to 48, but don't be surprised if it takes longer. Horrible, HORRIBLE customer service at T-Mob, in my experience.

I hope you have a better time. I ended up trading my Sidekick II in for a BlackBerry 7100t... And that was about 3 phones ago.
