How do I speed up 7100t?

My 7100t is extremely slow. There is a several second delay when I initiate a phone call, hang up, set the key lock, or access certain things in the menu.
Why is it like that? The OS can't be that poorly made?
Is this normal? Is there a way to speed it up?

I found the answer myself...it was the firewall
