Hi guys,

I'm a new user. I just got a Blackberry 7100G locked to Cingular, and I need to unlock it so I can use it on the Rogers Wireless network in Canada. Has anyone done this, or know someone who can do this in the GTA area? I would appreciate any help.

Thanks,

JT

I belive it is www.bogowireless.com that does the unlocking and it will cost you $100, no one else does it besides carriers now, and no I dont know if Cingular will do it or if Rogers will for you.

I never understood the point of unlocking a blackberry myself. $100 is loads too much........And looking at bongo wireless website, you have to add shipping costs both ways to the cost of unlocking!!!!

What makes more sense is to put your current blackberry on ebay and look for one on the network(carrier) you are going to.

Perhaps a useful section on this forum would be such an area where BB's could be exchanged for this purpose.
