How to scroll without the scrollwheel?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I use my BB on my boat a lot. I keep my BB in a waterproof case made by aqua pack. I have figured out how to scroll through the apps not using the scroll wheel. But when you want to read your messages, how do you scroll from one to the next without the scroll wheel?

Obviously I cannot use the scroll wheel from outside the aqua pack but I can depress the buttons on the keypad. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

You can use the space bar to page down...

Looks like you to make the hub.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry7250/4.0.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)

Now that I've reread the original post, I realize I wasn't totally accurate. You can page down using the space bar, but you can't advance to the next email that way.

Oh well...strange being quoted on a website...m

Cool, my dilemna made the hub. OK, so I can scroll through the email using the spacebar. How do I get to the next email? I have figured out that I can press (n) for next and (p) for previous. (space) for page down and (shift)(space) for page up. But I have found that I can only get into my oldest email, and not my most recent. I have to keep hitting (n) next in order to get to the latest message. I am wondering if there is an easier way to just select the first message rather than having to go from first all the way to most recent. There ought to be a keystroke for up and down just like scroll wheel up and down.

Is there some document that describes all of the keypad shortcuts and tricks?

When I press (t), it does go to the top but it highlights the day and skips the message. When I press (enter) to hopefully select the messages for that day, it brings up my contact list rather than opening my most recent message. What am I doing wrong?
