I am highly considering this phone. BUT i want to hear what the reception of this phone is as compared to other phones? Maybe like against the v505 (which i have) or the Nokia 3300 (which I have too, and get GREAT reception)

thanks

The reception is as least as good as the v505 , i haven't noticed any significant differences in the v505 ,v551 or v635 when it comes to signal strength and battery life. I would recommend the v635 to any Moto fan.

V635 reception is as good as the Nokia 6230 that I used to have. It's way better than the V505. It's a very good phone. Newer Motorola phones like : E398, E680, V635, and Razr, they all have great reception.

When I first read and saw pics of the V635 I was hooked!

Before, I had used the V551 (3 replacements!) and swore never to get another Moto again. But the V635 has completely changed my mind.

I was using the Nokia 6230b for a good while and decided to give it to a family member because they needed the MP3 player on it more than I did. However, I will say that these two phones are probably in a close tie for the best phones on the market right now, hands down.

Oh, the V635 reception/RF is STELLAR! I am literally getting bars in more places than I did before, even when it is idle.

All I have left to do is upgrade to the latest monster pack to resolve some quirky issues but other than that I love it!

Oh did I mention I can finally SELECT NETWORKS with my V635!

V635 has a pretty fast menu comparing to the V600. The RF is great here in IN. I am driving out to CA today so I can test the RF in other states. But I am sure where GSM signal is strong, the V635 would show that too.

there's still the matter of voicemail indicator tradeoff for the manual network selection, is there not? (with cingular service at least)

There is a very simple SEEM edit for the voicemail indicator issue. I did it on mine over the weekend and it works fine and normally as it should now.

The V635 ROCKS!
