What do I need in order to connect bluetooth onto my PC. I have a sony ericsson z600 and s710. Is there additional hardware or software I need to get. I also have T-mobile as my service provider. I don't know how to create a WAP profile that can connect with my PC. Is there a link that gives a tutorial on how to do this?

First of all your PC must have BlueTooth, either built in or an add on dongle. Got this?

I hear that Windows XP has some drivers on it to enable bluetooth. Im not sure if this is true but exactly how would I check on Windows XP to see if bluetooth is installed? Can you list the exact steps. Im guessing it has something to do with control panel or something.

No, you can not install a driver and the like magic get bluetooth. The hardware has to be in the computer to start with.

You can look around control panel, wireless link.

But Bluetooth is pretty much plug and play. If you are having trouble now then you can not do this.
