I have the Audiovox Flasher V7 (CDM-8910) with Virgin Mobile as my provider. I purchased the Curitel data cable. I followed all the instructions on the http://www.vox8910.ca.tt/ site for the Bitpim program and that cable. However, when I go to expand the "/" in the Filesystem tab, the program says BUSY at the bottom and does nothing. I let it sit for over twenty minutes but it does nothing... it is just locked up. What I am wondering is suggestions as to how I could resolve this. I am pretty certain the drivers for the cable are installed correctly. I know others have gotten this to work and just don't know what I'm doing wrong... I don't care what I need to do. All I want is to be able to replace ring tones with custom-made ones. Pictures and games are not a big concern for me.

Im sure you have your phone setup correctly to the LG-VX4400 already. Just make sure the com port is setup correctly. I am pretty sure I found my phone in the device manager... I think it was setup to be a modem.
Mine is com5

I have it set to LG-VX4400 like it says in the guide. I also have the COM port set to the same thing as my modem is under Device Manager.

It seems my problem was the operating system of my computer. I had Windows XP SP2.... wonder if SP2 is the problem. Anyway, on my Windows 2000 computer it works fine!

I have XP SP 2 as well, and it works for mine. Make sure you try ##PORT or (##7678) and change 1. DIAG from UART MAIN to USB DIAG then retry it

Google for a program called QPST... get it.. once you install it, it'll configure ITSELF to find your phone, and set it up... then use it just like BitPim
