Is the N70 going to just be a K750i clone?

Saw some info while searching around for the specs on it, I was thinking about waiting for it but is it just going to be a K750 with an extra VGA camera and 'nokia' slapped on the front? Since it seems the dimensions are near exactly the same, and will have similar features, I'm mainly wondering if its going to have the same multimedia abilities, such as 1GB+ mem and such.

Wirelessly posted (don't hate, procreate: Panasonic-VS3/1.0/RP1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)

Well, the nokia is a 3g phone and uses series 60

Yeah, the N70 is a smartphone and has 3G support. Those are two very big bonuses over the K750i.

k750 looks better IMO. But i suppose features are better than looks to most people

k750 is smaller, screen is better than the n70(quality wise), but alot smaller, the camera on the k750 is better.

if you are thinking of the k750, consider the w800

K750 is basically the w800 with a lower price tag!!

Posted by: kms-lai

wrong

the w800i comes with either a 512 memory stick or the limited edition with wired remote and 1gb memory stick.

the k750i supports upto 1 gb ms, whiles the w800i supports upto 2 gb ms and the w800i's phone can be switched off and used as a mp3 player only to save power.

still the same phone exactly once u flash el k750 with w800 software ...... why sony created these clones... i dont know !!!

Posted by: kms-lai

can't tell you exactly if you flash the k750, you will get the w800i

haven't any info on that yet

wrong k750 supports upto 2 gb ms and theres no reason why it wouldnt support up to 4 theoretically when they become available

I'd say the N70 is just another Nokia 6680 clone but with a better camera
No one compares the 6680 to a K750i. Everyone knows a K750i is way better!! LOL j/k it depends on what you want.

Posted by: kms-lai

to grca

my info is correct, the k750i supports upto 1 gb ms, not 2 gb ms.

check the sonyericsson web site.

You can't always rely on the manufacturer, the often underlist memory card capacities, the nokia 6230 is a good example

Posted by: kms-lai

unless someone has personally tested it out, you must rely on details given by the manufacturer.

someone test it out, then prove me wrong.

I.m here to give help and info, and not to go against anyone and start a argument.

Posted by: totaltoanage

i am...you are wrong.

Posted by: kms-lai

check the details first before starting a argument. A section taken of the web site.

SE only quote 1GB because that was the largest size at release.

The Nokia 6230 was only quoted as taking 256MB MMC cards when it was released but there's now 2GB compatible cards.

Check out Moby Memory, they're listing 2GB Memory Sticks that are compatible with the K750i. They guarantee that their cards are compatible with the listed phones.

Posted by: kms-lai

I only states what the manufacturer quote, if someone has tested it fine!, this does'nt mean i am total wrong. This is what they stated, tell this to sonyericsson.

Posted by: totaltoanage

no i want to tell it to you. k750i can support up to 2gb pro duo cards not 1 but 2.
