Removing names from sms drop down menu on 650

When I go to the new text message screen on my 650, the drop down list of names contains names that I don't use or use infrequently. How do you erase these names from the drop down list and how do you add new names to the list?

I find the fastest way to text is to find the pone number from the regular contact menu, and then click the "message" on-screen button.

Ive been wanting to do the same thing. I havent yet found out a way so if you find a way please post it.

there is no way to individually delete the names. you may be able to delete the whole list if the treo keeps the name ina specific database.

as for adding names, you just have to send them an sms first.

I talked to someone at Palm. His only solution was to back up the phone and then delete a file in the Palm directory called SMS Quick List and then resync the phone. I did this, but, now when I send a SMS the names don't appear in the drop down menu. It just remains blank.
