KX2 silent mode problem

I have a sound that happens when I open or close my phone. After putting the phone on silent mode for an extended period of time (few hours), then putting the phone back on normal mode, the sound that happens when i open/close the phone dissapears!!! Also, I have to browse the menu a couple seconds to get the normal navigation sounds to start working. Is all this normal???
