Hi, I am looking at upgrading my verizon cellphone and am not quite sure which route to go. Currently I am leaning towards the e815 or the VX8100 and I was hoping for some opinions on both.

Recent phontes that I have had had are the motorolla V60 (when I was on AT&T a few years back) and currently the LG VX6000. I loved both of these phones but am ready to upgrade. I don't really care so much about the camera or video capture (although they could be handy features!) but wanted the bluetooth capability and liked both of these phones for other reasons. Over the weekend my husband just got the 4650 which is OK but there are a lot of features about it that I don't like.

I've read all the reviews on the VX8100 and the e815 and am torn--sounds like both have strong points and weak points. I was hoping for some insight from users of both.

I don't own a 8100, but...

I've heard from the forums that the camera is only acceptable, there is no MP3 player, the buttons on the front do nothing, it has the ugly Verizon red everywhere, and the video is only 15 seconds. Also, LG is known for medicore reception where the reception on the E815 is top notch. The E815 has a decent camera with unlimited video capture, an MP3 player, and custom skins.

8100 all the way! verizon has the software update which has unlocked the mp3 player
