Sidekick 1 and Prepaid

Hello I was wondering if I can get my old Sidekick 1 (color) working with a PrePaid Tmobile Card with the $1 a day Sidekick plan....
Anyone tried?

Mine is on the prepaid plan now. You have to get a manager to approave it, as the package includes an actual SK II as well as a sim. When I brought mine into a T-Mobile store and asked about it, they told me that they could open up one of the packages and sell a card for $50 (including the $15 credit on the card). I considered it a little expensive, but went ahead and bought it (the sidekick has been collecting dust, and the ability to recharge the credit only when I need to use SSH for a wekend was worthwhile).
