My dad is at AT&T customer, not sure if he's migrated Orange now or not, but he has an old phone that he is no longer using, a Moto v220. He has a co-worker who is a Cingular (Orange) customer who damaged her phone. He wants to give her his v220, but when she puts her SIM in it, it refuses. I forget exactly what message he said the phone spits out, but I assume it's because of the wrong service ID, subsidy lock sort of thing. His phone works fine, and her sim was undamaged. Will Cingular change the subsidy lock on this Blue phone to Orange, or should I suggest he pay to have it unlocked and give it to her? I think there's a local place in town that'll do it for most Moto phones for $20 or $25 bucks. Thanks. |
