I need to buy one car charger and one extra wall charger for my Blackberry 7100t.

Do I dare to buy non-oem chargers off eBay? If so, can anyone recommend a non-oem charger?

Thanks!

NO! Pay the few extra bucks and get OEM.

You might want to look at the BlackberryDoubletalk Charger for the 7100t. It is a car charger and wall charger in one unit. See it at http://www.wirelessground.com/bldoch1.html

IMO the OEM chargers for RIM are reasonably priced. I've never had good luck with any wireless device and non-oem chargers. There has always been a compromise. Either the plug doesn't fit perfectly, or the device is cheaply made...

Damage to your device by non-oem equipment is not covered by warranty.

I would go this route or check www.smartphonedepot.com for an OEM charger for the device. They offer great deals (nice discounts).

The BlackBerry is very sensitive about the voltage delivered to it via USB, and it won't charge if the power is slightly out-of-spec. I'd definitely recommend OEM chargers.

The BlackBerry charger does work well for other USB devices (e.g. iPods).

If you are in UK I can sell you a wall charger, have a few in fact.

From my experience, there are some very good non-oem products around, but the difficulty is sorting the good from the bad, hence my advice, like many, is to buy OEM products only.
