Just wondering VX6600 on software amp?

With all the web pages that I have viewed I cannot understand with all the knowledge out there why anyone has not either coded a software amp for this phone or figured out how to raise the value of the top of the phone volume slider to make this phone just louder. I love this phone and was hoping that someone could come up with something like this. Please post away. PS This phone came with Rom Version 1.36.00 WWE Radio Version HA01_151 ExtRom Version 1.36.116 WWE Is there any reason that I should update this? It works fine so far. Some say yes, some say no. Heck I dont know. And what is the best program out there that will put the battery bar on the home screen and let me add shortcuts? Thankyou everyone for helping people out out here that know squat on these phones. Where do you start to learn how to write code for these? Roc2it
