Today i was in a cingular store and was looking at the price of the V551. With a 1 year contract it is currently going for $199 in store, and $185 ish on ebay.
I have also read that the v635 to be quite a phone, and it is going for $185-$200 on ebay as well.
Is their any benefit for getting a cell through Cingular as opposed to purchasing it on Ebay?
I am only looking for a 1 year contract. I know if i was to go with a 2 year I could get the v551 for $50 after rebate.
Also should i get the v551 or the v635 if I was to go through ebay?

The v635 is a better phone in so many ways. We sell v551s at my kiosk (87.87 w/ a 1-year, if you're a new customer, btw (Sam's Club)) and my coworker recently got a v635. The camera is incredible, plus with Transflash slot we put 3gp videos on there and Mp3 ringtones. I would suggest the v635 and then sign a one-year with Cingular and take the cheapest phone you can get as a backup.

$87 with a 1 year, wow.
Will the prices in all corporate stores be the same?
Also, if i get a phone in a kiosk as opposed to a corporate store, will I be able to go into a corporate store if I have problems with my phone for an exchange if I don't like the phone?

Sam's Club is not a corp. store, we are an agent. If you get the phone, as far as an exchange, within 30 days you can do it at the kiosk only, but after that no matter where you get it you have to use XBM anyways. Same as a corp. store, only cheaper.

yea, where I work...we sell the v551 for 119 with a 1yr and then there is a mail in rebate on top of that...30 or 50 I dont remember. v635 is a MUCH better phone though.

I'm looking to start with a phone from Cingular that I think is decent and see what their service is like for a year.
I'm currently with Verizon and just am not a huge fan of them, but my contract is up. I get good service with Verizon, but I also know Cingular has really good service in my area as well.
If I like what I see in Cingular after a couple of months/ year I could see myself getting a higher end phone. IE V635.

Quick question about Sam's Club.
I am not a member at Sam's can I just go into the store and sign up for service at a Kiosk, or do I have to be a member to do that?

Thanks

Just tell the card-checker at the door that you're going to the Communication Center. They won't pester you. (At least they're not supposed to)

Sorry for the ignorance, but what's walmart connect?
Is that in the physical store, or is that something off of their website?

I went to the Sam's Club today and the rep there sold Cingular, T-Mobile, and Sprint.
I told him i was thinking of porting over from Verizon and he goes "huh, whats weird. You sure you want to do that, they have the best service"
That comment just kind of threw me off, and I didn't upgade at the moment.
Does anyone find this a little ackward.
