For all you Mac users out there, I'm in great need of some help here. I've just gotten my Moto V551 and I'm trying to tether it via Bluetooth to my Powerbook G4 to access the internet (and yes, I signed up for MEdia Net, obviously).
Here are my settings in Internet Connect under USB Bluetooth Modem Adapter:
Telephone Number: *99# (have also tried *99***1#)
User name: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
Password: CINGULAR1
the modem script i'm using is called "Motorola BitSurfr 64" (came preloaded on my Powerbook (OS 10.4)
everytime I attempt to connect to the phone i get a message saying "Modem error, please verify your settings and try again"
The phone seems to recognize that I'm attempting to connect to it, but there's still some miscommunication between the phone and computer it seems.
I would greatly appreciate any help! I know this is the place I can find it.

I use the modem script for "Sprint Vision" phones that came with the OS. It works fine.

Thanks to all of you that have replied. For anyone who is curious, I did use the "Sprint PCS Vision" modem script to connect (OS 10.4).. So now the phone is tethered to the computer ok. I activated the web proxy, but my browser (Safari) will not load any websites that use the www. prefix.
Is this a proxy, phone, or browser issue?
Just a bit more help and I've got it. Thanks for all the help so far!

brett- you shouldn't be using a proxy... that proxy was for t-mo only. that's probably your problem. make sure u follow those instructions EXACTLY
