Trouble using BMW hands-free with Treo 650

A friend recently purchased both a Cingular Treo 650 and a BMW 325i. The car has mobile phone call handling controls and bluetooth connectivity; however, the Treo does not support it. Of what options do you know that would allow the use of the call controls? Can the phone be wired into the car?

I have an 03 540i paired with my VZW Treo 650 and have easily paired it with an 05 330i, 05 545i, etc.
It has been noted that the Bluetooth implementation in VZW's Treo 650 is the most robust.

the palm site says bmw isnt compatible but it seems others have done it. have you tried installing the patch?
