mp3 ringtones don't repeat!?

I can upload mp3 ringtones to my LG 4650, but when the phone rings, the ringtone only plays once and then stops. It does not loop repeatedly like the built-in ringtones. I've seen posts in these forums for other LG phones that say to change the .mp3 extension to .qpc, but this doesn't seem to work on the 4650. In fact, .qpc or .mid sound files uploaded to the 4650 don't even appear anywhere that I could find (either under Media->Sounds, or Setting->Sounds->Ringers).

I can record a voice memo, and use it as a ringtone, and it repeats.

Anyone know how to make mp3 ringtones repeat???

(I know I can simply edit the mp3 file and copy the segment multiple times, but that's not very "elegant").

The extension should be qcp not qpc.

You can visit www.realringerz.com and they have ringtones that are already made and looped as mp3s. They sound elegant to me.

mhe77: sorry, that was a typo, I meant .qcp. Has this worked for you on this phone?

Interestingly, I found that I can record something as a voice memo, set it to be a ringtone, and it will repeat.

There must be a bit somewhere (in the brewringerindex file???) that specifies whether a ringer file is to repeat or not.

Until then, I just extended/looped the mp3 audio to about 30 seconds.
