Depending on where you live and/or travel, it will work, but you could severely limit your coverage/service. Also, if you live in an area where the control channel is on the 850Mhz band, you will encounter even more problems. It is a nice phone, but unless/until (if?) SE releases a 850Mhz version, I won't go near it.
