Razr and Bluetooth in Car question...

Hey all -

My step-dad has a razr and he has some bluetooth kit in his car. Everytime he gets in and out of the car he has to re-enable bluetooth. Is there a way to make the phone always find the device automatically when he gets in the car so he doesnt have to go through enabling?

If he goes into Settings >Connection > Bluetooth > Setup > Power > On

that should do the trick. What is most likely happening, is that he is choosing "Use Bluetooth" from the menu, which only turns it on temporarily (if he reads the screen when he does so, it even says "temporarily")

PS I used the phone this way with my BMW bluetooth and it works fine. Note, is can take several seconds for them to connect when you first turn on the car.

Ditto blibman. I made keypad shortcuts to "bluetooth power on" and "bluetooth power off" (menu-3 and menu-4, respectively). Works flawlessly with my bimmer BT. I turn the BT power off when not in the car to save battery life.

How do you set up short-cuts on this phone? I had a hard time finding it...

Highlight the menu item you want a shortcut to, then press and hold the /-\ key. (menu key)
