Greetings -
I am in the market for a new smartphone and I'm very interested in the SMT5600. A couple of questions...

--Is there anyone out there using the phone on T-Mobile? Anything I should know about it? I've read about some issues with voicemail indicators, etc.

--Are you able to get corporate email (like the crackberry) synched wirelessly? I'd like to have my exchanged base email sent to my phone and outlook.

--I need to pick up a new, preferrably unlocked phone. Can anyone recommend a reliable vendor (other than eBay) and recommend a fair price?

Thanks for your help.

i put my smt on t-mobile (friends sim) had no trouble, but did not try voicemail w/ it...can't imagine what kind of problem there'd be w/ that.

yes, you can hit exchange w/ this remotely...not really 'sent' from exchange though, not until sp2 comes out for exchange...but you can set the phone up to 'check' exchange remotely...your company will have to resolve firewall issues and things like that for your phone to get thru...i have not actually tried this, but many have and it should work fine, may take some tinkering though.

the smt can be unlocked w/ a bit of software, unlike other phones...and this software is downloadable, there is a thread here regarding it...among other places...but it's easy...so no need to look/pay for an unlocked one...

As long as you have Active Sync on the Exchange Server you can get email, calendar, and task wireless. But no global address lookup from MS for Windows Mobile. There is a plug in for GAL lookup for PPC devices but not Mobile.
