Can anyone explain RF when dealing with cell phones? It seams a lot of people claim a phone is the king of RF.
There has to be test results or measurements of these phones without the network/area/carrier confusion.

They're all really just referring to the way a phone will hold a signal. Nokia's and the RAZR are best known for this. For example, my RAZR will hold a signal much better than my LG will, meaning that the RF on the RAZR is stronger than the LG.

For me, I judge it based on my experience. I have had Cingular service with several phones. For me, I judged the phones on how good they hold signals on my from home to work. I passed through a forrest preserve and my call would always drop using V600 and other Cingular phones. Ever since, I started using the Razr, I don't get any dropped calls. That is just awesome. I had a Nokia 6230 for 14 days. It used to get very good reception too. But, I did get dropped calls once or twice in the forest preserve route. From all the phones that I have used with Cingular service, Razr has been the best and Nokia 6230 very close second. V600 was baaaaaad.

Ok I’ll agree that some users have experienced different call quality from one brand to another. But I just, not in both your cases, wonder if people are confusing brand/model quality for service/tower location access.
I would be interested in seeing the specifications involved and how they compare. What I mean, in this day and age it’s hard to believe a company would make an inferior handset in terms of receiver/transmitter quality.
I have always liked Nokia’s because they are cheap (some anyway 3595) and seam to be “called” better than some other more expensive brands.
Cingular just replaced my, ran over, dropped, and rained on Nokia 3595 with a free Moto V 180(GSM ATTW). I don’t know abut reception yet, but the call quality is impressive.
Specs would be nice in order to compare new models without trying them out. That’s go to be expensive for them and a headache for me.
BTW I love them razors, but I’m waiting for PTT.
