What's the real deal on e-mail with the 650?

I am considering the Treo 650. My Sprint and Cingular dealers are clueless about my questions - can anyone help? My questions are:

1) I have a Hotmail e-mail account and a local POP3 account - can I get both of them to work with the 650 or am I limited to just the Yahoo/AOL/MSN stuff that Sprint advertises?

2) Will the e-mail be pushed to the Treo or do I have to log in and update?

3) Will the Treo work with any POP3 or IMAP accounts?

4) Can I surf all over the net with the Treo?

2. If it's IMAP yes with "Chatter."

I have my gmail come right to my 650 with versamail and my groupwise (imap) thru consilient (3rd party app) and they both sync over the air every 5-7 minutes I have them check for new email on both. Both work flawlessly on my 650
