V635 Won't Startup

I need a little help fellas.

My first time flashing. I left the SIM card in. I didn't know I needed to take it out. I've tried all the advice from the V635 Superthread.

I tried going from 24R -> 6DR. In PST > Multi Flash Flex, it said that it was succesfull. Now my phone won't turn on.

I can't enter bootloader with * # <pwr>.

I've tried all combinations of removing the battery, TF, plugging in the charger, etc. . .
I've soldered pins 13 and 14 together to try to force it to boot, but that didn't work also.

Is there anything about 6DR that I should have kwnon before hand? I didn't read anything anywhere about it? Im guessing at this point I have an expensive paper weight.

Maybe someone has a smart clip and I could send my phone to them and they could help me out?

Please let me know! Thank you.

AFAIK, you don't need to remove the SIM. I've flashed 4 different phones several times and left the SIM in everytime.

Have you tried plugging your phone into the charger with AND without the battery?

Yes, I have done that.

That is a wierd problem. Mine didn't exhibit any problems after flashing. I went 24r > 6DR > 88R then back to 6DR, then to 88R again.... My phone was having problems charging, and the phone would not recognize a full battery. So then I flashed back to 24R so that I could return the phone. All with SIM card in. Don't know why your phone is turning on. What happens if the phone has the battery in and is plugged into the wall?

Yeah, it's possible that your battery may be dead. This was true in the case of another HoFo'er

or when u insert the usb cable with battery in, do u hear that sound that xp makes (assuming you on xp) when u insert removable hardware?

After i did this, plugging it into the power supply did nothing.

Nothing flashed, no sounds from the phone.

When I plug it into my computer I get a "Un-recognized USB Hardware". It won't let me re-install the PST drivers for the phone.

Somehow this just completely F-ed my phone up.

Don't panic, Your phone is still alive.
I had the same thing happen to my brand new V635 that arrived yesterday. I was flashing from some ancient rev to 6FR monterpack and after it got done the phone appeared dead. I saw keyboard lights blink on and off once when trying to power it on, but that was about it. I also noticed the "Unrecognized USB device" that you mention. (please note: as per instructions of other my transflash was removed, and I had my charger plugged into the USB cable during flashing).

When I saw the "unrecognised USB device" i was able to hold * and # hit power, which made that go away and be replaced with motorola flash device (or interface), at which point i was able to flash it with MMF down to 24R monsterpack, then deal with Reversed Flip issue and then load 6FR monster pack again.

this was very helpful:
