E398 Keypad light LED problem after flash to V398

I had searched the forum, but cannot find an answer, pls help.

After I flash the V398 Monster pack, 95R_A, it was awsome. the menu speed, and all that. But I realised tat is a small problem, the LED keypad lighting is not turning on even I am in dark place.

If I tap on the key pad slowly (2 sec), the keypad light will be on. But if I tap at normal speed, the light will turn off. So i find it hard to use when dark.

Is it bug of the flash, or I need to edit SEEMS or my phone already had developed some problem.

Try turning on Event Lights in Settings -> Personalization. For some reason, that also seems to effect the keypad.

Hmmm, I got it fixed! clapping: LOL, it was the LCD lights leak into the light sensor, i tape sticker to prevent the light leak into the sensor, and alls goes well. I wonder it was due to the firmware adjusted the sensitivity of the sensor? :

BTW, i read that some other users also faced this problem, give it a try:
locate the light sensor in the PC , above the LCD at the right. A tiny LED like sensor.

Put something to block light from the LCD to enter into the sensor.

Ihave the exact same problem. I think you are right, the new flash changes the sensitivity of the sensor somehow. Does anyone know how we can change the sensitivity ? I don't have any experience with seem editing. Covering the phone in tape is not a good solution for me as I find that the sensor is a smart feature that should not be disabled,

I didn't cover the sensor anyway

, i found that the space between the sensor n LCD , some how the LCD back light has leak into the sensor, so I just put a sticker (small) to cover the leakage, so no LCD light goes into the sensor. The sensor now accept oni light from outside, it words perfectly well like b4.

i also faced the same problem..after flashing with MP revolution 4.0..i think the sensitivity of my sensor is decreased. the keypad will only turned off when i'm in a very bright cndition. even in the room with bright light, the keypad still not turned off

does anyone know how to mod the sensitivity of the light sensor?

and where is actually the light sensor? is it at the jog-dial (center-navigation stick)?

xtremestorm, the light sensor is located near the earphone. if you put the E398 on the table, the right side of the earphone (M logo), facing up is where the sensor located. I am not sure whether can change the sensitivity or not, but you can check previous post. You need to open the E398 to block lights or clear blockage of light to the sensor.
