I won a Nokia 9500 and recieved it from Nokia 2 weeks ago. This is a monster of a phone and it does quite a bit. I really like it despite some clumsy issues like the front interface and hard to find Bluetooth controls and most important to me and according to Nokia who just sent me an email saying The 9500 Communicator could not stream. Does anyone understand what is going on with realplayer on the series 80 platform? Did anyone ever get it to work for streaming.

The actual error I get is always something like this.."format not supported in opr00307.ram"

The only streams of all the streams on the internet I could get to work are the test streams on Real's site.

I've been recieving streaming audio for years with my Symbian 60 Phones.
I used Netfront to load the links straight from the Web Pages to then open in real Player it worked flawlessly on My N-gage and N-gage QD. Does it sound like a DRM issue? Didn't Nokia's Specs on this phone say it could stream? It says so in the owners manual.
So for now I'll keep swapping my sim back to my QD when I want to listen to internet radio.

i think it can but its useless the sound and vid dont sync at all

hey im just wandering cause i want to upgrade to te nokia 9500 but i tought he could stream have you try to stream from the original real from the phone or you have tried the latest version real has to offer on their site ?
so try it out and let us know

Thanks for your suggestion...........The 9200 ver of real Player is not compatible with the 9500. It will load and install but it will crash immediately.
I've read and looked all over the net for a solution. The Firmware update only seems to make it worse.

So for now no streaming on the 9500.
