Sidekick 2 V.S. Razr v3

Okay, I'm about to buy a cellphone this weekend. I don't know which one to buy because their both really popular. I like the razr cuz I like all of the things it does. But, I like the sidekick 2 cause its cool looking. Which one should I get? Oh, on the SK2, can I have a background on it?

Actually, its usually the other way around. Most people like the sidekick because of all the stuff it does and the V3 because of the way it looks. The V3 really doesn't do much, its a mid level phone (think v330) in a high end body

Ok how are you going to compare the SK2 and V3? They are completely different devices.... The SK2 is for data and the v3 is now just for looks.....

i actually own both and there is no comparison as to which you should buy. I know alot of ppl that have the sidekick2 as a phone and says it sucks I use mine for data only and txting. the V3 is a all around better phone the earpiece on the razr sucks at times but basically get the razr for a phone hell truthfully I would look around further before you get either.

Well, it's all about prefrence. Maybe you want something slim, that looks cool, while maintaning some cool features. OR maybe you want something that isn't necc. slim or small, but makes up for it in features. Razr has bluetooth, you can put your OWN ringtones on there, ect. Sidekick has web/aim/email/text ect, and also maintanes style.

Whatever your into, they are still GREAT phones. I have owned both, and still own the sk2.

I have both too, but if I were to choose one I'd have to say it depends what you need it for, the sk2 is amazing for data and email and keeping entertained... However if you rely on your phone for imp calls etc.. I find my sk2 goes to my voicemail without it ringing (with a good signal) about half of the time. As a phone it is unreliable... My advice would be get the sk2 and activate another (cheaper than v3) phone on prepaid and forward your sk2 calls to the other number, and have voicemail on that number.. At least that way you are guaranteed your phone will ring and you won't miss a call you were expecting

yeah im about to get my friends all black razr anyone know a good cheap site that i can get it unlocked? unlockitnow costs 45 and another is 35

yeah i didnt mean to ask here but i got a sidekick and its coo and all i havent really used the razr that much but it seems coo but id say get the sidekick if you want the email/aim/internet i think you can get internet on the razr too aim too and the service is better

Yeah I have both as well. Did not wanna give up one for the other.

Well me, I would say whatever you're into you should go with whatever phone serves that purpose. If you just want to browse the web be able to buy wallpapers, screensavers, watch video clips, use a wireless headset and hot javascripted games, then yeah go with the Razor. But if you need to use emailing thru push, like to chat in chatrooms, go onto the internet, and be able to type without having to hit a button more than once for a certain letter/number, than yeah a Sidekick would be your choice there.

Well comparing the Sidekick II to a Razr is like comparing a BMW to a Ferrari.

Both quality products, however one has an edge on the other.

The only pros of the Sidekick is the large screen, and they keyboard.

If you're looking for portability, then shoot for the Razr. Also, it has bluetooth, something the guys over at Danger should have thought about implementing in the Sidekick.

I agree. What were they thinking! When the SkII was being made up bluetooth and video had been out for sometime now. They thought by just adding a camera and speakerphone that they accomplish the ultimate device.....guess again!
