I tried searching but am not sure of how to phrase what i need...
I have my tmobile v300 that i just unlocked via the code from tmobile. I am going to give this phone to my mother that uses cingular. Her sim does work correctly in my v300. However, upon pressing the menu button the "T" still shows up. Is there any way for me to remvoe that so that it won't show this anymore? Thanks in advance.

Even though your phone is unlocked from T-Mobile it is still 'branded' to them.
You can modify it by flexing with an un-branded flex.

thanks. What will it have in place of the "T" after I flex it. Also any suggestions on what flex to go with .... this stuff is intimidating..

I Flexed my T-Mobile v300 and it gave me a stock Motorola menu with 'Settings' as the first menu item on my screen but that also can be changed by re-arranging the menu items to whatever you want the menu to first go to when pressed.
Go into your 'Settings'>'Personalise'>'Main Menu'>'Reorder' and see if you can just move the 'T' from being the first menu item. I cannot remember if I could do that before I removed the T-Mobile branding.
Flexing and Flashing a phone is intimidating and requires a lot of reading before doing anything or your phone could become useless.

My menu is now:
Settings - Phonebook - Recent Calls - Multimedia - Games - Messages - Office Tools - Web Access - IM.
I believe it was replaced with Web Access because the 'T' connected with t-zones.

Motox has a good guide on un-branding without flexing. It applies to the v3 but will work with your phone:

andyahs I really appreciate your time and help... would you mind me asking which flex/flash you used. I would like to give it a try just have been unsure as to which flex/flash has given good results. I know i need to make a complete backup of my my flash/flex? and have the apps/tools needed. Thanks again.
