Update to SMT 5600?

Does anyone know if there's an updated version of the SMT 5600 in the works? Perhaps something with a better camera, better Bluetooth implementation, and maybe even quad band?

I love my 5600 but have the new phone itch.

wow is that hot!!!! i like how they took the taper away from the bottom, it makes the smt 5600 hard to text on. at least for me. hard to believe wifi in a device that small and sexy!!! if it has a mega pixel camera i would pre order one right now. do you know if they plan on quad band for it?? i have a eten m500 right now and dont use it cause i cant get signal at work, so i have that as a ppc and the smt 5600 that i use all the time because i am always at work. i want just one device!!!! i was looking at the wizard with the slide out keypad but now i dont know???? what to do what to do

Cam is going to be 1mp or higher, not sure yet about bands but since tmo is getting it first it probably will only be tri/900.

It is quad band, EDGE, WiFi (poss 802.11g), 1.3MP, QVGA, and no confirmation has been made that TMobile is getting it first. MGN said that Cingular was getting a device to replace the SMT5600 in October also. This was a month and a half ago.

The specs are listed all over the internet. Search Google for HTC Tornado or look at any of the 100 sites dedicated to smart phones. They are all over each of those...

There is no confirmation, but there is definately info floating around that suggests that T Mobile will be getting the phone first and/or exclusively. That rumor is all over the internet too

. That said, I hope Cingular picks this up and that it is in fact the phone replacing the 5600. My friend had a pre-production model of this phone and it was SWEET.

hummmmm??? the Wizard or the Tornado??? if both have Wifi, then form-factor will play a major role in my decision. if my memory is correct, the Wizard is the same height and slightly wider than the SMT5600 (when closed). if this is true, the Wizard will certainly be my first choice for a new gadget... heck, i might get both of them!!

the wizard is more along the size of the jam but a little thicker because of the slide out keyboard. the tornado is close to the smt 5600. i am trying to choose between the two as well. which is funny cause i have money for neither!!!!

if i had the money though i think i would go with the wizard becasue i could use the keyboard and i like the power of a ppc.

this is definitely a tough call for me too...i have wanted a wizard since info starting coming out...to have a bigger screen, keyboard, etc...plus wifi was just making me slobber...but w/ the new info recently about the tornado, it's gonna be hard to pick one as far as I'm concerned...

the non-contract prices will probably force me to pick...i'd like to have both, but that's just not realistic when two non-contract devices would cost me as much as a new laptop...

oh well, they aren't on the market yet, so i'll have time to think about it.

I plan on getting the Moto Q, the Wizard, and the HTC Tornado, use them all and see which one works best....then sell the ones that I don't want.

I'm going for the Tornado. Excellent screen, WM 5.0, normal phone factor, wi fi and EDGE. October can't come quick enough.

I will make full reviews of all of them once I get them. I will offer to sell them to my fellow HoFo memebers before I put them up on ebay. Of course this will be in the BST forum.
