i am still trying to figure out why motorola is making this thing and why is microsoft allowing it. i was under the impression that the windows mobile for smartphone OS was intended to be used on devices that are PHONES FIRST and PDA second. i was under the impression that one handed use was a requirement of the licence for a windows mobile for smartphone device.

apparently i had it all wrong and microsoft doesn't mind a device that is visibly a PDA first and a phone second that will require 2 hands to use.

The Q doesn't look drastically different from the BlackBerry 7250 I've been using (which has been one of the best one-handed devices I've ever used!).

The only time I use two hands with the BlackBerry is when I'm typing an email. All other phone functions (like dialing a call, answering a call, looking thru the phone book, etc) can be done way more easily one-handed than on a WM Pocket PC Phone device (that isn't running Voice Command). I don't think the Q (or any other WM smartphone) will be any different.

IMO, the biggest thing that makes a device "two handed" is when you have to use a stylus to tap the screen to do something.
