ok, with this new update, are you able to set ringtones or is it still all jacked where it wont let you do this? do you have to hack the 8100 to use the ringtones you made or are you now able to set them?

i just put them on my sisters 8100 using the .mp3 extension and they worked fine...

I have the VX8000, but shouldn't this be the same?

I've also just emailed them to my phone, and yeah, the phone saves them as .qcp and doesn't let you add them to your MP3 playlist, but you should still be able to set them as ringtones?

I think sending music from ur email to ur phone doesn't work anymore.
If you have a usb connection for the phone then you can add ringtones VERY simple.
Real Full songs that you want, if im not mistaken 155 ringtones to be exact.

the 8100 has new firmware that wont allow a sound sent as a pic message to be saved as a ringtone..

if your getting QSP files.. those are horrible sounding..

just take the .mp3 extension and change it to .mid and it will go thru fine to an 8000..

the 8100 is thru data cable only.

if you have the 8000 and a cable the mp3 player works search the forum for the tutorial on it

if you have v4 firmware, you don't even need to chage the extension to .mid, works fine as mp3 for me
