Is a 6000 worth getting?

The 6000 can be found without contract for $100. But it is only a single mode phone, so is it really worth getting? Or should I spend a bit more and get a dual/tri mode phone instead?

sprint pcs has the 6200 for 100 after instant rebate on their website.

they just dropped the price of the sanyo 5000 to $200, its a dual mode and it comes with a data cable and software

Sorry, I wasn't been clear. I'm in Vancouver so I can't really buy a Sprint phone and use it on Telus/Bell Canada can I? In other words, what carriers in the US has is not really my concern. But what about comparing it to other phones Telus/Bell Canada has to offers?

The thing is that both the Samsung A520 and LG (can't remember the model number here) phone are in that price range. So is it then worth the money to get the Samsung/LG over the 5000?
