Problem syncing with Microsoft Outlook

Whenever I try to sync with microsoft outlook, it syncs my calendar and tasks and then when it gets to the addressbook it just stays on initializing and never syncs.

Any ideas what's going on?

You did put a check mark on addressbook before syncronizing did you?

Yes I did. It seems like it tries to sync the address book and then hangs.

Did you have any foriegn language written on some of your contacts? Coz that might be why. And the phone just froze when it sycned the contacts?

Try saving all your contacts to the sim, wipe out the phonebook memory then restore it to the phone and see.

I don't think I had any foreign charachters. My phonebook is to large to be saved to the sim. Right now I just settled for backing up with oxygen until I can figure it out.

Outlook may be preventing access to the addressbook.

I personally do not sync my p800 with Outlook but with my Ericsson MC218, using PsiWin 2.3.3, I get a message from Outlook that something is trying to access my addressbook.

I need to check a box to allow access before the syncing will continue.

I do get that message and I accept it. Basically it syncs my calendar and everything else but not my contacts.

i had that problem yesterday too. i also noticed that some of my contacts were corrupted. i ended up doing a master reset on my phone and syncronized it again and it seems to be working now. hopefully it doesnt keep happening.
