<ahem>..... <ahem>......

I know i know, i had to lie to have you read my thread. Seriously.. its depressing. I'm seeing everyone on this board quit Cingular for one reason or another. Who KNOWS how many others have quit who are NOT on this board......and you guys are good people too. You know how to treat customers with respect...i'd love to have you onboard anyday...... who's in charge of HR over @ Cingular? That person is NOT doing a good job. Is there ANY reason to stay onboard with Cingular for the remaining employees who post on this board? Or are you staying with the company solely because a) it pays your bills and b) you're applying and just waiting for the next job to come around?

im personally happy with my job. while i do agree with the crappiness of the secret shoppers and other things, all in all, i like where i am. I look at my current position as a step towards a great career (not necessarily with Cingular. but in general). I go to school for Telecommunications so even though there is a lot of ******** goin on right now, im willing to deal with it for the hopes of achieving greater things in the future...

I work for an authorized dealer and have ALWAYS gone above and beyond to provide customer with the quality service they deserve, like helping them when they made the mistake of going to a mall and paying more for their phone and being lied to about the activation fees or not being told about the proration that comes to all new customers. I did what it took to make them happy and now it seem that every chance cingular gets it tries to screw us. They cutt commission, it's not our fault they bought something they couldn't afford in the first place, at&t has to be laughing all the way to the bank. Their customer service is a joke, they seem to make no effort to help their customers who call in so we sales reps are the ones who have to take the heat. I know in the cell biz there are going to be up and down times but it seems like cingular is being paid off by verizon to commit buisness suicide, we raise prices they lower them, we are 50 million and dropping they keep climbing, if it wasnt for the fact that practically no one is hiring in my region I would be gone, we lost 23 employees in less than 2 weeks, it seems like cingular is going straight down.

And the funny part about all of this is that Cingular DOES NOT CARE about the high turnover rate. Why should they? In their minds, they have too large of a sales force. Right? Wait, didn't they just sign up Radioshack? Too large of a sales force...... and you're adding MORE people to sell.....hmm....

They're worried about the number of COR employees. After all, they have our salaries and benefits to pay.

It's ridiculous for the most part but I guess a lot of the indirects have etched a bad image in people's minds. I used to work at TMS; please don't hate. The practices there were questionable at best. And I have since left for pizza delivery.. I figure it's giving the customer exactly what they want, right? haha

but anyway, I had people come up to me all the time. I'm supposed to greet every ******* person that walks by me, but when my manager wasn't around, I still select greeted. More than once, I've had someone just walk up to me who I wasn't even thinking about greeting. And guess what, they didn't want a phone. These people stopped to insult me and tell me how bad I was and my people were. I'm sure this is what cingular is taking into great consideration. Radio Shack or Best Buy (which I consider to be far far worse than most indirects) has more name and trust in the consumer's mind than some booth in the middle of the mall with a cingular sign up and a bunch of people that don't look like they belong in shirt and ties in there leaning over and verbally assaulting everyone like they were trained to

I personally like the job that I have. True there's **** going on all around me locally and corporately but I've always loved the wireless industry.

I'm also staying because I can't afford my own phone....lol
