Kyocera 2255 mobile conectivity

Just got a 2255 with which I'm pretty happy.
I have the USB data cable from Kyocera and will use it to manage tel# from ms outlook (Snap Synch software seems easiest).
I believe I should be able to use the same cable to access popmail accounts with my Palm Pilot, but need some sort of adapter to plug the "male" USB into the base of the Palm...
Is anyone out there doing this or knows where I can get the
necessary dohicky ???
