I'm new to Howard Forums and have spent the past two days reading lots of info on the LG VX8100 phone. I currently own the LG VX6000 (for almost 2 years) and plan to get the new phone soon. I needed to decide between the LG VX8000 and the VX8100. 
After overloading with info for the past 48 hours I decided to go with the newer phone, the VX8100. I like the MP3 player option and am glad that the new software update will be available soon. 
I'm not too concerned about the phone's camera since I have a good digital camera already, and I assume that the VX8100's camera is better than that of the VX6000. But I am concerned about the reported problem with the earpiece volume on some phones, and hope I do not get a defective phone. 
I'm not familiar with Verizon's return policy for defective phones and can't afford their insurance. Don't want to give Verizon any more money than they are already taking from me. Damn those subcharges, fees and taxes!

those 850 and 900mAh battery wouldn't last more than a few hours in the battery hog 8100. other than that it's a nice list. |
