What version BT is on the S66?

I'm trying to get a Jabra 250 headset to work with the phone. I can get it paired, and to show up in the trusted list.....the phone's display even shows the 'call to bluetooth device accepted and disconnected when turning the Jabra 250 off and on.....but no sound (or any other headset functionality) is working.

Pretty sure it isn't the headset.....as it was working flawlessly with a previous phone (Nokia 6230).

Any tips/tricks? Or, maybe a firmware (on the S66) issue?

FWIW...I have been able to sync the phone via BT to a MAC.

Thanks for any suggestions!

well, the phone has BT 1.2 according to what I've been reading... Apparently it was one of the first phones in the US to have BT 1.2. I currently use a Logitech Mobile Freedom, which is a BT 1.2 headset and it works flawlessly. I can answer calls with it just fine and transfer audio to and from it without issue. I've not used a BT250, so I'm not sure if there's some sort of compatibility issue. I do know that the BT800 (the really new one) is listed as compatible on the Jabra site.

I've noticed that it's pretty flaky when trying to get the two to connect, but outside of that it works perfectly fine. I've noticed that on occasion when the headset is already turned on and I turn on BT on the phone, the phone will connect and the headset will shut off completely for no apparent reason. I've found that turning off the headset then turning on BT on the phone then powering on the headset seems to work best. At which point you can make a call on the phone and hit the left softkey to transfer audio to the headset. I really like how the BT indicator on the phone indicates what state BT is in. It's one symbol if BT is on but not connected to anything... Two B's with arrows between them signifies connected to a device.. and a B with an arrow pointing to a headset icon means audio is transferred to a headset.

exactly what is going on that you're having problems with? Since I have the same combination, perhaps I can provide some assistance?

i turned bluetooth on with the phone, turn headset on, try to find device, and it doesn't find anything, i dont know how to get the phone to recognize the headset

ok... when the headset is powered off, hold the power button for 8 seconds, which will put it into pairing mode. At that point, turn on bluetooth on the phone and it will find the headset and ask for a PIN. Enter 0000 as the PIN and you should be all set. You basically had never paired the two devices yet so it didn't know what to look for.
