SE Cingular S710a - Can I get Cingular R2A firmware or not?

Ok, I've searched but can't seem to find an answer. I know the newer Cingular S710a's come with R2A firmware. I want this R2A cingular branded firmware on my phone. Does anyone flash this Cingular R2A?

Look in the MarketPlace Forums or search your local directory for Flashing Services in your area. Shouldn't be too hard to find a few in Northern California.

I think my post wasn't clear. I was trying to find out if anyone is flashing the Cingular branded R2A for the S710a. Everyone I have contacted about flashing says they do not know of a Cingular R2A. But we all know it is out there. But no one seems to be able to flash it. I specifically want the Cingular branded one.

I'm not sure if you can get the Cingular branded firmware from a third party. If you call Cingular and complain about the slow menu's they might do a warranty exchange and send you a replacement phone that should have the new firmware on it.

I am certain I am out of the Cingular warranty period. How strange that this firmware is so difficult to get.

im thinking of signing up with cingular after the settlement goes through with verizon.

Would you be able to have cingular flash the phone at their store? Sorry if this sounds weird, just trying to find out as much info before jumping ship to greener pastures.

No.

Cingular does not flash phones at all.

However, I ordered the SE S710a about a month ago for my GF, and it came with the R2 software. It's unlocked and she's using it on T-Mobile.
