P910i won't read sim card. . . .

Hello all,
My P910i will not read my sim card. It just says "Reading SIM card," and is stuck there. Also, I have a contact in my phone book and everytime they send me a text there name is not coming up, just their number. This shouldn't be. I have tried deleting the contact and creating it again but still wont read the number and associate it with the contact. Kinda wierd! Any thoughts? Thanks

i had the same problem on my p900 months ago. i didn't do anything just turned it off for a while and left it then tried again several times and then it worked.
