I need the best reception! lost my phone

I lost my phone this weekend, it fell of a boat and into the detroit river.

It was a nokia 6230 w/cingular and it never seemed to get a very strong signal. Is there a phone you guy's can recomend to me? The camera and mp3 features are not really important to me.

Just a rock solid phone since I don't use a land line anymore.

go for a nokia 6010. you can pick one up from like walmart for 40$ or ebay/. I currently use one and its great phone. Rock solid no problems. Stamdard phone

okay, I'll check it out. how bout those V551's eh? had two break..one wont charge the others lcd broke.

I still have a 3390 too, but can't remember how well it had sound. It's like 4 years old now, and still looks new 'cause the battery allways died too soon, I just put it away.

my favorite was a the 6160 but that option went out went the sim cards came out.

You might be able to find a v180 GoPhone at Walmart for $85. It's not a bad phone and can be easily unlocked.

RAZR, RAZR and RAZR - Think of it whenever you think of best reception. No kidding, I have used a 6230 as well. It gets excellent reception as well. Since, you have already used the 6230, go for a RAZR. I returned the 6230 because I did not like the tiny and crappy display of 6230.

get a 6682 when it comes out. Its been amazing for RF. I make and recieve calls in basements with 1 bar all the time. great camera, good battery life, and you can play all the MP3's you can hold on an RS-MMC card.

thanks all! I got a 6010 unlocked to use for now. It's decent size and seems like it can take a beating. Reception seems fine so far. It will make a good backup for sure.

I do plan to get something nicer, but I'm waiting till something cooler comes out, or the prices drop a little on whats out already.

My dream machine would be a toshiba libretto, if it ran an AMD 64, a nice GPU with DVI, and a sim card.

Nokia or RAZR. If you want a simple phone with great reception, go Nokia. If you want a "cool" phone with great reception, get the RAZR.

6010 or 3120 is what seems to work for me.
