treo650 broken antenna

so I pulled out my treo650 from my pocket last night to take a call, and oops the antenna fell off. I dunno if it got hung up in my tight pocket, but this is terrible... all this copper stuff fell out of the hole where the antenna once was.. I tried putting it back in.. no dice, and I have no signal. I went back to my motorola V80 so at least I can make phonecalls (and actually hear people when they are talking to me) but I need my treo fixed.

anyone know what I can do?

Can the antenna on the Treo be replaced?

wow... that's pretty impressive... the antenna seems pretty sturdy. did u not feel it when it made contact with something?

Can you use the Treo 600 antenna? I am a big fan of huge antennas.

well, it's not like I could just screw a new one in or something, it's something that definately has to be repaired. when I called, cingular was like.. the warrenty doesn't cover damage to the phone casing, or screen, or other physical damage done the the phone. it also doesn't cover water damage.

I was like.. wtf does it cover? treo looks like they are going to charge me over 100 bucks for the repair.

That's pretty screwed up as far as the damage is concerned. Water damage, I can see, I mean my wife left her Samsung in her pants pocket (Doh ) and it went through the washer. She dropped it in the water at a seaside ocean park. Believe it or not, she's still using it.

The antenna, that's another thing, I mean, something that protrudes out from the phone is going to be prone to damage some way or another, it should be covered.
