Finally found case/holder that works for me

Not sure if this works for anybody else but since Feb, I've been through at least 1/2 doz cases/holders for my Treo 650 and finally found a combination I like. Added bonus: Less than $10.

Here's what I got from www. cellphoneshop.net
Clear Silicon Case For Treo 650
$5.90

Holster For Treo 600, 650
$3.30

The rubberized case is nice like others I've spent as much as $30 for. It does not have the knob in back that would attach to a holder. I like this because can still stick it in my pocket without the added bulk. I also got the plastic holster which still accomodates the Treo with the rubber cover on.
This holster is not as attractive as the black leather holster I had (which broke btw) but hey, it was three bucks! I'm not cheap, I've spent a bundle on things which were not perfect for me but this is and it was quite inexpensive.
And no, I am not a shill for cellphoneshop! I posted (possibly on another board) a couple yrs ago when I was really unhappy with their service but I think it's fair to post about good experiences as well. It did take a week-10 days to receive the package but it was worth it.

uggh! man I coulda used this thread a week ago... I paid $20 for a skin case and this looks comparable... is that holster a face forward or backward (a la the sendio shield holster?) it works with the skin in place? may have to get em anyway...

too bad they don't have stereo headfones/mics... would like to find em cheaper than sendio's $35

thanx 4 the links!

I really like the look of that, but in the concrete jungle that is my school, a hard Innopocket alluminum case, that is extreamly protective is the better choice for me

Yeah, I know there's not one solution out there that will work fro everyone. That's what keeps accessory suppliers in business

To answer the first reply, this holster seems to hold the Treo from the front or back, with or without the cover! I actually just discovered today that the covered Treo fits facing inward.

I have dropped it Treo once or twice since using this cover but due to shear boneheadedness, no the holster

Shoot I just saw the prices...for about $8 I can get the holster and silicone case? Sweet...here I come...even If I only use it during the summer :P

Does the 650 have the same exterior geometry as the 600? Meaning can I buy this case for my 600 and still have it fit well?

Posted by: cyberdude

Don't know, I know several holders can accomodate both but I'm not sure about cases.

thanks man i already have the javoskin but i was looking for a holster that fits with a skin on...i ordered both 10 bucks how can u possibly go wrong?

OK, me too! Ordered the cover and case. Great prices, cheap S/H charges, which is a relief because a lot of these shops make up the low price with high shipping charges.

I have bought many things from this store and they are reliable.
Not everything is top quality though but the prices are amazing.... as well as shipping considering that they ship from Hong Kong.

I will highly recomend to check this leather case. It's not designed for Treo but it works fine with my skinned (cellphoneshop.net) Treo. This case is little bit bigger than Treo and it makes pulling skinned Treo out much easier :-)
