Ordering Thru Telesales

What is the process for employees to order thru telesales, and can they do it using their discount?
I ask because i have a friend of mine who works for cingular, but they're fairly clueless about these kinds of things, and he works at a call center and not a store but wants to order a 6682. Do they just need to call telesales and give thier id# or something?

If corp employeees want to excerise their employee discount on equipment, it must be done at a corp location. There is not an option to purchase through telesales, your friend will just have to wait until the store gets them in stock.

If your friend is a corp employee, your friend should know where to find this information. Its on the main page of "my cingular" and he or she will know what that is.

Gotcha...I'll pass that on. Thanks a bunch!

Yeah I found that out yesterday, I was trying to get my 6682 through my account rep, it'd been $20 cheaper, no contract extension, and no $18 activation, but they didn't have them in store, and I didn't wanna wait. Although I really think if she gets any at her store within 30 days I'm shipping mine back to telesales.

Yep, take your badge into a store, 30% off retail. I have bought a couple of phones that way allready.

I strongly suggest you take a part time job with IBM, or, even better, General Electric.

I'm former blue retail and we don't have any badges. I supposed I would be able to buy a phone with my discount from another store or a co-worker but the boss has said we are not allowed employee discounts yet??

It's a good possibility. We just barely got the ability to use our employee discount and I know some other places haven't taken effect yet. check with your RSM and see when they plan on doing that or if they are already but for legacy blue, it is a market by market launch.

Thanks... I'm assuming it's more than likely my own market. The word is we are not supposed to get it until next year.
