Prior to the AT&T merger I could always upgrade and bill the cost of the new phone to my account. Now "product fulfillment", the website, and the 800# require me to bill it to my credit card.

A Cingular rep tells me over the phone that I can go to "certain stores" that can bill new equipment to my account. Implied that not all stores could do this. How can I locate these stores? Zip codes 77429, 77056. Thanks.

It _can_ be done through telesales, but they really don't like to do it.

a year ago i was informed i could apply as much as $75 of my upgrade handset cost to my bill. and did so.

a month ago i was informed i could not apply any of my upgrade handset cost to my bill. so i didn't.

the above occurred at the cingular store on USHWY 59 @ Buffalo Speedway.
you know the one? across from that big unsightly church where the Harlem Globetrotters once played?

Yep, it can be done through telesales. I just ordered yesterday and had my credit card in hand ready to give them the number. The sales lady repeated back my order and asked if that was all and I said yeah. She gave her closing and was about to hang up when I asked how I would be billed and she said it would show up on my next bill.
