Hi, I'm new here
I just order a Motorola V3. It should be here tomorrow.
Next month I will travel to another country which has international roaming with cingular.
But I want get the subsidy to unlock my phone to low my expensise.
As I read so far, Cingular won't give out the subsidy.
I know that I can return the phone back to cingular if they won't give me the code and go with t-mobile.
Is there any chance I can have the Subsidy if I tell them I will go with t-mobile?
Thanks

I know you have to be a costermer for atleast 90 days to get the code from tmobile. It may be the same for cingular.

Just call them up and tell them you are traveling overseas and need the unlock code so you can use it with other SIM cards, they will do it for that reason. I know they will, I did it with my Treo 650, I called up, told them I was traveling overseas and I needed to be able to use prepaid SIM cards with the Treo, and in about 10 minutes it was all unlocked Others on here have done it as well, and many over at http://www.treocentral.com Hope this helps!
