verizon is getting it amp'd is getting the jet (evdo version) virgin mobile is getting it (they are calling it the slider sonic, its got better buttons) mp3 ringers it can do, but you have to cheat. if you are using MPT its still easy. use the software to cut out the part of the mp3 you want to use as a ringer, save it as a new mp3 file. then rename it to a .mid. then upload it using the file manager thingy. then it works. using kwpst you can unlock its ability to store mp3s on the main memory, so you dont need a memory card. but its still only 16mb internal memory, so you might as well get a memory card for music. |

If you can make calls on it with it being closed then I'm sold. The mp3 part I don't really care much about since I've got an ipod.

OMG!! IT WORKED! Yes, it loaded Cellular South's WAP home page. I changed the homepage to Google's WAP and now when I startup my web browser, it goes right to Google where I can search, find addresses and phone numbers, and use Google's mobile search engine that turns regular web sites into cell phone viewable sites! FINALLY!! When I was in with my rep, he tried it on his Nokia flip and it wouldn't connect. I'm assuming it's only working for the Remix and the Audiovox Blackberry type thingy they have. Nice to see internet working on a Cellular South phone, none the less. |

| Currently, Verizon Wireless does not offer the Remix. I am unable to provide information regarding which equipment is being considered or approximate release dates, as this may raise expectations that may not be met. |

Mine flashes red when charging and green when it is fully charged. That OK button is pretty darn wobbly..heck the whole phone seems pretty frail, hope I never drop it on the ground. |
But to my experience, most phones are lacking in the games department. Obviously, the carriers want you to purchase and d/l premium content for your phone. *sigh* Alas.

Here is my take on it so far: PROS: --LOUD!: Almost as loud as a Boost phone. MUCH louder than my Koi (which was one of my biggest complaints) --Gorgeous display: Nice, high-res display with bright, clear colors --Solid Antenna --TransFlash slot: Got me a 512MB chip from Best Buy for about $70 CONS: --Crippled Bluetooth functionality: WTF Kyocera? The only thing the BT seems to be good for so far is for use with a cordless headset--THIS IS ENTIRELY INEXCUSABLE! I can neither receive or push files such as vCards or MP3's to the phone? What gives? Bad thinking/planning on Kyocera's part. I hope there is a way to hack the phone to enable these features....In a word: puh-thetic --No lens cover for camera: Annoying. I can see now that the lens will get dirty pretty quickly --NO TETRIS? Bloody infidel! But to my experience, most phones are lacking in the games department. Obviously, the carriers want you to purchase and d/l premium content for your phone. *sigh* Alas.--Seems too frail: I agree with Turbopeach on this one--I hope I don't drop this baby any time soon Other than that, this has got to be the best Kyocera phone I have ever experienced, and the best phone Cricket has offered yet. I am really miffed about the serious lack of Bluetooth functionality. This is a pity an a shame. The fact that I cannot directly interface my phone with my PC to do thinks like address book sync really makes the BT functionality rather pointless, save for car/hands free. Meh. |

JUST the phone.
now, when i use the USB cord they gave me with the last set of phones it brings the phone up as a drive. and when i try and use the mobile phone tools it wont recognize the phone at all. and the phone says "Phone is in file transfer mode. to quit use eject hardware option on the pc and press the end on the phone." now maybe im stupid but, i dont have a "eject hardware option" on my PC. and when i press the end button it turns off. am i the only person having these problems? it doesnt bother me THAT much because im able to move larger ring tones to the phone, which is a plus. but it bothers me that the phone has to be turned off and back on when i want to move files. |
