Hi all

I was not satisfied with the selection that panasonicbox offers, so I made a few by myself. I hope others will follow so we can get together a nice collection.

I used Photoshop for creating them, the size for a MainMenu Icon Set is 240x240px. And for the downloading, I just used the IrDa Port for transferring the pictures from my computer to my phone.

hey i tried to make one of my own, but im not sure if it works real well (my bro has the IR port, and i dont see him till the weekend), could someone test it out and tell me if the icons r spaced ok, and if it looks nice on the phone. (btw i didnt make the icons and bg, i simply put every thing together, i got the pictures from customize.org, various artist made them)

Yeah.. the original poster said he used photoshop to make the themes. If you dont know where to get that, then i'm sorry haha... i've got a zip of the install files that's about 200mb in size, does your email accept that large of attachments? Mine sure can't send something that big.

I tested it, looks fine on the phone only the icons are not everytime correctly aligned. If you used Photoshop, make use of the grid & rulers view - also look at the "navigator" for the x/y coordinates. Devide your 240px image in a 3x3 Grid and place your icons centered in every "casket" - use the Transform function (strg+t) to move the icons precisely.

The easiest way to change your ICON is to upload any picture you have, intended for such function as ff; Messages, Settings, Camera etc.

Now press MENU->SETTINGS->Display settings->main menu Icon, then scroll to icon you intend to change. Let say Messages, then Click option->edit->My media-> then select a picture youve downloaded and press select. Same procedure for other icons. No need to resized pictures, but to save on memory to be used, make it 128x128 pix, jpeg format.

You can always restore back to default icon, as theres an option to restore it to default.

How can I insert my wallpapers (240x320) in my post? I'd like to share it with all. I've cutted and resized many wallpapers with ACDSee & I think my job it's well done.

Or, if anyone want, I can send by email my zipped collection (it's 7,76 MB) and who know how insert the images, can post it.

Greetings.

This thread has been very helpful to me in making some nice backgrounds that fit perfectly on my VS3.

I was also playing around trying to make my own icon set and was wondering why my icons never lined up properly. I then discovered that the size for the icon background isnt exactly 240x240 pixels, it is infact 240x228 pixels.

If you base your icon backgrounds to this size, they should fit nicely and evenly on the screen.

Here is a perfectly aligned iconset for the perfectionists like myself lol. Its quite dull as you can see, i'll prolly make some nicer ones later on.

yea i know where it is but "main menu icons" wasn't there mines was a taiwanese version so i think that firmware didn't have that option

hope you'll like them.

I've found the original pics on the web and I've adjusted them with paintshop to create a valid menu set. I've tried to create some japanese-friendly menu icons with japanese text.. tell me if you like them.
