PST_6.7 trouble

I couldn't find a post for this when I did a search, so if this has been covered, I would appreciate if you could direct me to the link. I wanted to flash my phone but could not get my PST_6.7 program to work. I have downloaded both the program and it's patch, but it says that the service pack I have on my computer is newer than the ones in the program so it cannot install. What should I do now?

What it says you can't install is just the XP patch. Don't worry about it.

Ok, I finally got it to recognize my phone. Now when I try to start the program, it say it isn't intialized. How do I do that?

yeah i kept getting the install error also and i just went through with the install and rebooted, then put in the update files.

now when i start multiflashflex.exe i get error - cannot read file header.

any ideas?

try rebooting. if not recopy the patch over the files again. if that doesnt work. reinstall,
sometimes mine does that also but it stops after a few tries. i recopied the patch and it works perfect now.

had the same problem
u need a newer pst... 7.23 is the newest i think, it doesnt have no service pack problems... trust me, its easier to search for the 7.23 then to uninstall sp2 and install pst

you dont need to unisnstal sp2!!!! 6.7 works just fine with it!!!

I figured out what I was doing wrong. I followed the instructions on how to apply the patch, but I was applying them to the unzipped file PST file when I should have applied them to the PST program file. Once I moved the patch files there, 6.7 worked like a charm. Thanks for all the help.

I agree, 7.23 works much smoother than 6.7.
I was getting some error reading header problems with 6.7, but after switching to 7.23, no issues at all.

mine works fine with sp2 even after uninstalling the additional 'key' program that was installed. You might want to try RSD light 1.8.1 Same thing, new letters! lol
