ok...my mom has a z500 and is complaining about the reception, so is it the phone..or is it the network, because she is saying she might drop the service. i suggested it might be the phone, cause there is an internal antenna, and she has a cover for it. should she get another phone?

I get great reception with my Z500a. What kind of cover is on the phone? Try taking the cover off and see if reception improves.

its a plastic cover that cover the whole phone, and has a holster

i wud say its the phone. I had the same problem while making calls it would suddenly drop the call, and signal would go to like 1 bar or so.

lol...the guy at the store told us the 551 was prolly the better RF phone..but my mom being the cheap person she is...got the z500. i on the other hand was smart and got the 551
